Staying consistent with Painting

Creating art is a wonderful way to express yourself, relieve stress, and tap into your creativity. However, it can be challenging to stay consistent with painting, especially when you have other responsibilities and obligations. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, these tips can help you maintain a consistent painting practice:
      1. Set a specific time for painting: It's important to set aside a specific time each day or week to dedicate to painting. This can help you establish a routine and make painting a habit. Choose a time that works for you, whether it's early in the morning, during your lunch break, or in the evening before bed. It doesn't have to be long sessions, painting daily for 10-20 minutes can sum up in a big progress during several months!
      2. Create a dedicated painting space: Having a designated space for painting can help you get in the mindset of creating and make it easier to start painting. It can also help you avoid distractions and interruptions. Find a space in your home or studio where you can set up your supplies and work comfortably. In a corner of your bedroom, livingroom or a separate studio - it's not about size, it's about your special creative place!
      3. Break down your painting into smaller tasks: Painting can feel overwhelming if you don't know where to start. Breaking down your painting into smaller, manageable tasks can help you stay motivated and make progress. For example, you could start by sketching your idea, then move on to mixing the colors, and start applying firts layers.
      4. Keep your supplies organized: Keeping your painting supplies organized and easily accessible can save you time and make it easier to start painting. You can create a dedicated area for your painting supplies, or use a portable storage container to keep everything together. Make sure to clean and organize your supplies after each painting session to make it easier to start again next time. Also coming back to your creative space when everything is neat and clean will make you fell better and excited to start creating.
      5. Join a community: Joining a painting community, whether in-person or online, can provide you with support, inspiration, and accountability. You can also learn new techniques and get feedback on your work. Look for local art groups or online forums where you can connect with other artists and share your work. We have a very loving Art Community in our private Patreon Facebook group :)
Remember, consistency is key when it comes to developing a skill like painting. It's important to set realistic goals and commit to your painting practice, even if it's just for a few minutes each day. Over time, you'll build momentum and see progress in your work.
In conclusion, painting can be a fulfilling and rewarding hobby, but it takes time and dedication to improve. By setting a specific time for painting, creating a dedicated space, breaking down your painting into smaller tasks, keeping your supplies organized, and joining a community, you can stay consistent with your painting practice and make progress towards your artistic goals.
Better to move with small steps but consistently. Move forward and don't be afraid to make mistakes - we are learning from mistakes, getting up from failures, and mowing forward. There is no easy or fast way. Create, Enjoy, make mistakes, create some more :) Consistent little steps will guide you to unimaginable places :) just don't rush everything with great and fast expectations of the end results!

Best wishes
